The Wayne County Builders
Association, Inc. (WCBA), is a non-profit
association consisting of more than 250 members in
the construction industry and is affiliated with the
Pennsylvania Builder Association and the National
Association of Home Builders. The association's
membership is comprised of home builders, remodelers,
subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, etc.),
manufacturers and financial institutions, among
others. WCBA is governed by a Board of Directors
made up by its members which are voted into office
by its membership.
In order for the Wayne County Builders Association
to stand out in the forefront of the building
industry, the association has voluntarily adopted a
Contractor's Quality Commitment Program (CQC), a
program that is endorsed by the Pennsylvania
Builders Association. All members of the association
must meet and adhere to the CQC requirements
consisting of a series of minimum performance
standards, abide by the association's Code of
Ethics, provide the association with proof of
liability and workers compensation insurance, as
well as be in good credit and ethical standings
among their peers. The CQC program was designed to
increase the level of performance and
professionalism of the association members and to
give the housing consumer confidence in choosing to
do business with a member of the Wayne County
Builders Association. One of the most important
features of the CQC program is that it establishes a
formal consumer complaint resolution process. This
process which entitles the WCBA to respond to
consumer complaints about its members was
established as a means of assuring the consumer
peace of mind.
